Genesis Property is committed to achieving zero carbon emissions for the buildings in its portfolio by 2030, by investing in increasing energy efficiency and production from renewable sources, through sustainable building management and efficient use of resources. 

In November 2021, Genesis Property became the first real estate company in the country to join the select community that supports the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact (UNGC). Recently, Genesis Property submitted the first edition of the Communication on Progress report to the UNGC.

This year on Valentine's Day we welcomed our communities in YUNITY Park and West Gate Business District with chocolates and small surprises.

We were delighted to see so many people back in the parks enjoying a sunny day. We were truly inspired by the care of those we met and served chocolates to - they all took extras to take to their colleagues in the office. ❤️

In December we donated to 15 non-governmental organisations and over 250 children and families from disadvantaged communities. Genesis Property thus supports initiatives developed by NGOs in Romania aiming to bring joy to disadvantaged children and people with disabilities during the holiday season, to support the needs of children in community centers throughout 2023 or to help facilitate access to education as part of the mission to create a better future in society.

Our colleagues, Maria Jianu and Stefan Tudos, received on behalf of Genesis Property the Green Office Project Award from The Diplomat Bucharest for the implementation of the most extensive renewable energy project in an office park in Romania. The project consisted in the installation of more than 1,000 photovoltaic panels on an area of ​​over 4,000 square meters, on the roofs of the office buildings in YUNITY Park, following an investment of 1 million euros.

Reconnecting with the team and company values after the challenges faced in the last two and a half years is high on employees' priorities list, and the office remains central to the decision to leave work from home. Thus, apart from salary, relationships with colleagues are seen by more than 59% of employees as the most important element of connection with the workplace.

Genesis Property presents a new benchmark for the real estate market by implementing the largest renewable energy project in an office park in Romania. The project consisted in the installation of more than 1,000 photovoltaic panels on an area of more than 4,000 sqm, in prosumer mode, on the office buildings’ roofs in YUNITY Park, following an investment of 1 million euro. This project is part of a broad series of sustainable development initiatives by Genesis Property that will transform YUNITY Park into a new real estate concept that will redefine the future of urban living and working.

Genesis Property has signed a 10-year contract with Bookster, the most popular employee benefits in over 1,200 companies in Romania. Starting December 2022, Bookster will be headquartered in Building D of YUNITY Park, a new campus business model that will sustainably and uniquely integrate spaces for experiences relevant to the work and lifestyle of the future.

YUNITY Park, the project to transform Novo Park, is attracting new companies and partnerships that will make a major contribution to the creation of a community fit for the trends of the future. STEP IT Academy, a leader in IT education since 1999, will arrive in YUNITY Park and will be part of a category of tenants that will also reinforce Genesis Property's vision of creating the comYunity ecosystem on the new campus that will reshape the work and life trends of the future.

Reducing environmental impact is becoming an increasingly important concern for Romanian employees in the context of climate change concerns, and expectations for "green" measures are growing. Employees believe that environmental protection measures in office and residential buildings and complexes are very important, and 70% among them expect a sustainable approach and more environmental initiatives, according to a survey of 1,180 employees nationwide conducted this year by Genesis Property.
