Science-based Targets

Genesis Property becomes the first real estate company in Romania to obtain the approval of its near-term CO2 emissions reduction target, until 2030, from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Genesis Property has committed to reducing, in a first stage, its emissions in Scopes 1 and 2 by at least 46% by 2030 compared to the base year 2019.

In addition, our company has committed to measure and reduce emissions related to Scope 3 so that during 2024 it can also obtain from SBTi the validation of the Net-Zero long-term CO2 emission reduction target.

Certificate of Registration under EMAS

Genesis FM, part of the Genesis Property group, reaffirms its commitment to the environment and becomes the first company in the Romanian real estate sector to obtain the Certificate of Registration under the prestigious environmental management system EMAS, marking an important step in concrete environmental protection initiatives.

In addition, the company's environmental management system is already recognized by the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

Joining the EMAS environmental management system represents the active determination of Genesis FM to optimize work processes, reduce environmental impact and efficiently use resources.

The process of obtaining the Certificate of Registration under EMAS is a rigorous and meticulous one, consisting in initial environmental assessments, reporting on a set of basic indicators and the transparent publication of the Environmental Statement.
