In 2025, employees are increasingly concerned with balancing their work and personal lives, and the office remains a central element in this regard, according to a survey conducted among 1,175 respondents nationwide by Genesis Property.

At the same time, 23% of respondents prefer a highly digitized and tech-integrated office that simplifies their work, while 15% consider the ideal work model to be a "nomadic" office that allows them to work from anywhere.

On March 22, 2025, the world will mark Earth Hour, the largest global movement dedicated to environmental protection, initiated by WWF. This year, the initiative holds special significance as it coincides with World Water Day, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural resources.

In this context, Genesis Property, together with its tenants, will join the initiative by switching off the lights at 8:30 PM in its office buildings, including YUNITY Park and West Gate, as a symbolic gesture of responsibility towards the planet.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming increasingly present in everyday life, both at work and at home, with its benefits—such as reducing time spent on repetitive and redundant tasks—being more appreciated than ever.

According to a survey conducted among 1,175 respondents nationwide by Genesis Property, 77% of employees use AI-powered tools daily or occasionally at work. Furthermore, 88% of respondents believe their office should have more automation tools to simplify their tasks, and 70% are eager to develop new skills in AI and automation systems.

The return to the office continues to grow this year as employees increasingly feel the need for direct interaction with colleagues, and employers implement strategies that encourage a full-time return to the office while balancing the hybrid model.

According to a survey conducted by Genesis Property, one of the leading office building owners in Romania, among 1,168 respondents nationwide, nearly 63% of employees are already working exclusively from the office, while 13% opt for a 3-4 days workweek in the office. Additionally, only 10% of respondents continue to work exclusively remotely.

Genesis Property, one of Romania's leading owners, developers, and operators of office buildings, has supported the donation and collection of more than 150 liters of blood this year, which can help save 614 lives.

Starting with World Blood Donor Day and continuing to the present, the company has organized six blood donation initiatives within the communities in its campuses.

More than 580 employees from tenant companies in YUNITY Park and West Gate Business District, as well as young residents of West Gate Studios, participated in the blood donation sessions held this year.

Even though some of the Romanian employees admit they wouldn’t find it easy to give up remote work, they can rapidly adapt, according to a recent Genesis Property survey among 1,168 respondents across the country.

A better separation between their professional and personal lives (45%) and the interaction with colleagues (53%) are the most important reasons encouraging employees to come back more or fully to the office.

Furthermore, if the employer would impose work in the office, less than 18% would consider looking for a remote or hybrid job or would resign from their current role.

Genesis Property has received the registration approval from the Science-Based Targets initiative or its immediate and long-term emission reduction commitments (Long-Term Target). Moreover, for the first of these targets—the Near-Term Target—Genesis Property obtained validation from SBTi as early as 2023, immediately after the launch of its first Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions report, a document prepared in accordance with the GHG Protocol methodology.

The next major objective of Genesis Property is to obtain validation of its Long-Term Target for CO2 emission reduction from SBTi by 2026, and the company has already begun taking steps toward achieving this goal.

Building F hosts renowned companies such as HP Enterprise, HP Inc., Garanti BBVA, DXC Technology, Luxoft, and Yokogawa.

This certification reflects Genesis Property's strong commitment to sustainability and represents a significant step towards achieving their ambitious goal of reducing net carbon emissions to zero from the group's operations by 2040, ten years ahead of the targets set by the European Green Deal, following a trajectory validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Sports HUB, a non-governmental association specializing in the development of programs and events dedicated to sport and education, is establishing its headquarters in YUNITY Park, the office campus owned by Genesis Property.

Sports HUB, the initiator of the GO Scholarship program, will occupy 770 square meters in building G of YUNITY Park, where a new innovation center will be inaugurated following a total investment of over 50 million euros in the campus.
